License Notes

The Python wrapper, tests, examples, and documentation in this repository use the MIT License.

The detector programs are separate upstream works:

  • WFDB wqrs.c states GPL-2.0-or-later in its source header.
  • EP Limited / Hamilton detector sources distributed through PhysioNet ECG-kit state GNU Library General Public License version 2 or later in their headers.

wfdb-qrs-kit does not relicense those components. The default package does not vendor detector source or binaries. If you download, compile, copy, or distribute detector artifacts, keep the upstream license terms with those artifacts.
